One of several promotional pieces created for the NY Pin Up Club’s live events, this poster draws inspiration from early 20th-century burlesque and vaudeville advertisements. For this 2017 showcase, I embraced the theatrical energy and visual tropes of vintage burlesque flyers—monotone performer imagery, bold typography, and exuberant, hyperbolic language. Each featured model is presented in classic full-body pin-up style, rendered in a gritty halftone that evokes vintage newsprint. The overall composition nods to the hand-assembled charm of old playbills, while injecting a contemporary polish and sense of fun.
