Poster design for COUPLET, a quarterly poetry and music salon in NYC. I had a long relationship designing for COUPLET spanning a period of five years, and my favorite solutions were pieces that used typography in an experimental, playful way, visually echoing the melodic and lyrical qualities of poetry. This piece explores the melodic nature of poetry through playful, dimensional typography and rhythmic repetition. Using stacked isometric letterforms and angular accents at 45 degrees, the composition leans into optical illusion and spatial tension.
