Headroom, a bar and eatery in Jersey City, NJ, commissioned this logo ahead of their 2018 opening. Named for its soaring industrial ceilings, the identity also nods to the frothy “head” of a beer. In the logomark, splitting the name into stacked halves reveals a visual relationship: the ascenders of the "h" and "d" in head frame a central area of negative space—subtly illustrating the concept of “head room.” The letterforms are built from circles, 90° and 45° angles, with stems selectively removed for visual clarity and style. The result is a clean, architectural wordmark that echoes the physical space it represents.
