The NY Pin Up Club commissioned me to design a new logo to commemorate their 9-year anniversary, The club—known for its retro-themed photo shoots, personal pin-up sessions, and live entertainment—needed an identity that would speak to both nostalgia and style. The visual language draws heavily from mid-century American design, echoing the era that birthed the pin-up icon. The typography features smoothed, elongated forms and dynamic horizontal lines, alluding to the sleekness of mid-century architecture, automotive design, and signage. The starbursts serve a dual purpose: they reference the atomic-style motifs popular in 1950s textiles and interiors, while also subtly recalling the flash of a camera during a photo shoot.
